PathwayConnect is a low-cost education program that helps people start or return to college.
Over the span of one year (three semesters), students complete coursework online and also gather once a week with other local PathwayConnect students. Course credits earned during PathwayConnect may later be applied toward a BYU-Idaho online certificate or degree.
Online Classes Provide Access to Education
Each semester during PathwayConnect, students take a light courseload consisting of both academic and religious education. PathwayConnect courses are designed to help students learn basic skills and gain the confidence and abilities needed to succeed in college and in life.
Skills learned include:
- Critical decision making
- Goal setting
- Time management
- Study skills
- Career Planning
After successfully completing PathwayConnect, students can apply to earn a certificate or degree online from BYU-Idaho, consider a local college or university, get a new or improved job, or pursue a variety of other options.
Standard PathwayConnect tuition in the United States is $69.00 per credit, and is much less in many countries. (See the PathwayConnect site for specific country costs.)
Weekly Gathering Provides Spiritual Boost
In addition to taking academic and religion courses, PathwayConnect students also gather every Thursday evening at a local institute or church meetinghouse where they participate in educational and leadership activities related to their courses, build lifelong friendships, and deepen testimonies of Jesus Christ.
Certificates and Degrees
PathwayConnect graduates can choose from 40 online certificate and degree programs offered by BYU-Idaho.
